. Studying at the University of Primorska

The University of Primorska offers study programmes at undergraduate (first cycle) and
postgraduate level (second and third cycles). All study programmes are international compa-
rable. The workload of one year of study equals 60 ECTS credits.*

*ECTS – European Credit Transfer System
The European Credit Transfer System is based on the total amount of work a student has to produce; it
not only takes class hours/attendance into account but also time spent on personal research (whether
at home or in libraries), as well as preparing for and taking exams or tests.
1 ECTS credit is the equivalent of approximately 30 working/learning hours. Credits are awarded only
when the course has been completed and all required examinations have been successfully taken. The
use of this system makes transfers from foreign institutions easier.
