attention to issues such as sexual and reproductive health, family planning,
gender-based violence and rape (linked to important sociocultural phenom-
ena, such as forced marriage and teenage pregnancy), mental health, people
suffering from trauma or injury, among which victims of torture are of par-
ticular importance’ (Camera dei Deputati, 2017, pp. 72–73).

Quite evidently, the Conclusions of the Italian Parliament Commission le-
gitimize the attempt to construct a Sexual and Reproductive Health Index,
based on valid and reliable indicators.
