exploring musicological discourses ...
Secondly, corpus linguistics provides the capability for diachronic
analysis. Corpus methods can track changes in language use and themat-
ic focus over time, aligning with the study’s goal of identifying trends in
the literature. By analyzing texts from different publication periods, the re-
search can uncover how musicological discourse in Slovenia has evolved,
highlighting shifts in topics, methodologies, and theoretical perspectives.
Thirdly, the approach supports language-specific analysis. Tools like
SketchEngine are designed to handle multiple languages, including Slove-
nian, accommodating the specific linguistic context of the research. This
                                                                           13
capability ensures that the analysis accurately reflects the nuances of the
Slovenian language, such as its morphological complexity and use of dia-
critics, which is essential for obtaining valid and reliable results.
Moreover, using corpus linguistics enhances the objectivity and repro-
ducibility of the study. The quantitative data derived from corpus analy-
sis provide empirical evidence that strengthens the validity of the findings.
This empirical foundation allows for objective measurement of linguistic
phenomena, reducing the potential for subjective bias and enabling other
researchers to replicate the study if desired.
Finally, the integration of corpus linguistics contributes to methodo-
logical innovation within musicological research. By combining computa-
tional linguistic techniques with traditional humanities methodologies, the
study demonstrates an interdisciplinary approach that can inspire similar
research in other fields. This not only advances the current study but also
opens new avenues for future research that bridges linguistic analysis and
            musicology.

                 Methodology
By integrating corpus linguistics into the methodological framework, the
study leverages computational analysis to enhance traditional research
            methods:

            1) Data-driven insights: The empirical nature of corpus analysis
grounds the study’s conclusions in observable data patterns. 14
