One of the central tasks of music educators is teaching instruments. Music pedagogues
employed in music schools set goals and perform their tasks with the aim of creating a
basis for future musicians and can be credited for the fact that Slovenians have an envia-
bly high level of both professional and amateur musical culture.
Children with special needs have the right to education and training, including music
education. However, in the field of music education, the conditions and opportunities
for inclusion are not yet guaranteed for them. In order for the work to be successful it is
necessary to combine musical pedagogy knowledge and special pedagogy knowledge
with the knowledge of teaching instruments, which is based on tailoring the education-
al work to the individual’s needs. It is necessary to gradually achieve appropriate system-
ic changes that must not undermine the mission, tasks and goals of the existing music
education in music schools. Loredana Sajovic ◆ IZZIVI ENAKIH MOŽOSTI GLASBENEGA IZOBRAŽEVANJA OTROK S POSEBNIMI POTREBAMI
