Summary
Education for diversity in Italian language teaching in Slovene
Istria
The paper explores identity and community as two dimensions of diversity
characteristic of modern societies and presents the results of a study, which
focused on teaching/learning Italian as the minority language in Slovene
Istria. This study aimed to examine secondary school students' views on
identity and its development through time. Research shows that knowing
oneself and others is a key component of successful co-existence and social
